DUTIES & FUNCTIONS

"The MEEO aims to provide wider access to affordable goods and services and be a means to augment the local government unit's revenues."

“Under Municipal Ordinance No. 2020-002 of the Local Government Unit of Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya, the following are the duties and functions of the Municipal Economic Enterprise Office:

1. Exercise managerial control over the operations of various economic enterprise as well as its support services;

2. Advise the Local Chief Executive and other special bodies that may thereafter be legally constituted on all matters involving economic enterprise development;

3. Develop policies and formulate rules and regulations, standards and procedures to improve and enhance revenue generation based on sound financial concept and principles for adequate delivery of services, subject to the approval of the Sangguniang Bayan;

4. Prepare the annual budget of each economic enterprise and the department as a whole; and

5. Exercise such other powers and perform such other duties and functions as may be prescribed by law or ordinance incidental and necessary thereto.”
